Why a Christian Club?

As Christians,we are commanded to spread the word about Jesus Christ. What better opportunity than with a world wide web site!

What makes one a Christian?

It is what a person believes that makes them a Christian. A Christian is someone who has recieved Jesus as their Savior. Jesus also said "If you love me, then you will obey me." So, by your actions, then you show your faith in Christ.

What did Jesus do, anyway?

Jesus came to earth for one primary purpose. To reunite mankind with God. Everyone is a sinner, and therefore separated from God. God then sent Jesus to be a sacrifice for our sins.

Why?

First, He claimed that He was indeed God Himself in the flesh.
"I and the Father are one." John 10:30

"If you had known Me, you would have known the Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him." John 14:7

He then proved this to people by performing many miracles.
Calmed the storm, healed leprosy, walked on water, brought the dead back to life, healed the blind and crippled, etc....

"And there are also other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books which were written." John 21:25

Many religions claim that Jesus was really nothing more than a "good moral teacher" or a "prophet". But lets think about that for a second, a good moral teacher walking around saying that he is God? That is not a "good moral teacher," that is either a liar or a lunatic. Lets face it, he was either who he said he was or he was nothing at all.

Many religions use His name to draw people, but do not believe all of what He said. This was even prophesied in the bible.

"But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, EVEN DENYING THE MASTER WHO BOUGHT THEM, bringing swift destruction upon themselves." 2 Peter 2:1

Why was He killed?

Jesus had many enemies then, just as He does today.

When He walked on The earth his enemies were mostly religious men, who held places of high status. Jesus had begun to reveal these men for what they truly were. This angered them and they tried to make Him stumble with words by asking Him very complicated questions.

He won these debates every time, and each time these men were exposed even more. They then decided that they wanted Him dead. Now, even though these men, along with government officials, had beaten, whipped and crucified Jesus, it was

Gods plan all along. (click here)

However, this does not excuse them from their anger and hate.

Why would God want Jesus to die??

Jesus was sent to the cross to pay for all sins, past, present and future, in order that God could have a relationship again with mankind.

O.K... but why Jesus?

Well, think of it this way...say theres a car you want, like a completely cherry, killer, Max Wedge Dart, and for good measure we'll say its black. Now you have a chance to get this car, but hey, you have got to give something for it, right? Oh, and the seller has an unoriginal one, that he will give you to drive, so you don't have to worry about hurting the "real" car.

Are you going to be able to trade your crusty old slant six Volare for these cars?
NO! You are going to have to sacrifice something good, something you like, perhaps a really nice car or two or a big huge chunk of cash...right?
It's not that easy. So, God, thinks so highly of YOU that He would sacrifice His perfect son in order to be united with YOU!!

God gave up something as awesome as Jesus to get YOU!

That is the message of the bible, not condemnation!! Salvation!!!

I know its hard to believe, but true. What else can you do but be thankful.

Jesus was then raised back to life!
He appeared to many people to prove that He was indeed the son of God and that death is not final.
Many people witnessed this, as a matter of fact when He appeared to the Disciples, one of them, Thomas, was not present. When the others told Him about it, he had his doubts.(doubting Thomas) "Unless I shall see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, (where He had been stabbed) I will not believe."

Eight days later Jesus appeared to Thomas and said to him.."Reach here your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and be not unbelieving, but believing."

Thomas answered and said, "My Lord and my God!"
Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed."

What do I do now?
